INTRODUCTION
The AlertGBV solution is a project of WETECH, a non-profit organization that supports women in the fields of technology and entrepreneurship, recognized as being of public utility, whose head office is located in Douala. As such, AlertGBV is committed to ensuring the protection of the personal data of all audiences with whom it maintains a relationship through all digital and paper media, including via its website www.alertgbv.com.

Values of the AlertGBV solution
The AlertGBV website and its partners respect the following values:
Independence from any political party or religious institution
Ideal of good governance and transparency in management
Fight against gender-based violence and depression
Non-judgmental and respectful of confidentiality
Respect for fundamental ethical principles.
Consequently, documents received as part of the project, whether via the “submit a resource” functionality on the site or via direct access for partner associations to the management module of their personal page, must respect these values.
The nature and content of the documents, including photos and videos, are the responsibility of their authors, who are responsible for obtaining the consent of the persons concerned and for respecting the principles of confidentiality and human dignity.
AlertGBV reserves the right to remove any document that does not meet these principles.
Intellectual property: rights to use and make available a document
The content presented on this site is protected by copyright. Any reuse of documents, videos, photographs, and all content is subject to the author’s consent. Non-commercial reuse, particularly for educational purposes, is permitted provided that the integrity of the information is respected and that its meaning, scope, or application are not altered, and that the origin and date of publication are specified.
The photographic works or illustrations of any origin, present on the solution’s website constitute original graphic creations protected by law n°92-597 of 01/07/92 relating to the intellectual property code. DATA PROTECTION POLICY
In accordance with the provisions of the Law of 6 January 1978 relating to information technology, files and freedoms, known as the amended “Information Technology and Freedoms” Law, and the European Regulation of 25 May 2018 on data protection (“GDPR”), AlertGBV, as data controller, details in this data protection policy how it processes and protects the personal data it collects as part of the AlertGBV project.
Furthermore, AlertGBV has appointed a Data Protection Officer, a key contact for the National Commission for Information Technology and Civil Liberties and a point of contact within the association on matters of personal data protection.
THE PUBLICS
The categories of data processed include identification data to communicate with you, get to know you better and facilitate the relationship between the various member associations and partners of AlertGBV.
Your data is collected through paper or digital forms. Some data is mandatory for communication (contact details), other data is optional.
Optional data is collected to get to know you better and to enable us to send you communications tailored to your expectations and to enable us to assist you.
DATA COLLECTED
The personal data collected by the solution regardless of the medium include:
Identification data: surname, first name,
Contact details: email, phone number
Connection data: date, time, IP address, software and hardware, cookies
Data to help you in an emergency: location
Depending on the purpose, this data may be mandatory for communication or optional. Optional data is collected to get to know you better and to allow us to send you communications tailored to your expectations.
Your data may be collected directly from you (via the contact form, an event registration form, chatbot, etc.) or indirectly (e.g., via one of our events).
As part of indirect collection, AlertGBV undertakes to comply with Article 14 of the GDPR and to inform you within 30 days of the source of the collection of your data and your rights of opposition.
THE PURPOSES OF PROCESSING
To achieve these objectives, AlertGBV is required to collect your personal data to meet the following main purposes:
Manage subscriptions: newsletter.
Raise awareness and help survivors of gender-based violence and depression.
Allow you to access information and provide testimonials.
Collect data for statistical purposes (analysis of traffic on our site for example).

We also ensure the accuracy of your personal data through regular updates and are very committed to respecting the principle of data minimization.
We attach great importance to working only with subcontractors and partners who guarantee reliable and robust measures to comply with French and European regulations regarding the protection of personal data.
THE STORAGE PERIOD
We keep your personal data for the period strictly necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and processed. At the end of the retention period, your data will be permanently deleted.
SHARING YOUR PERSONAL DATA
AlertGBV only shares the data it collects with its authorized internal departments and its mandated subcontractors to the extent strictly necessary to achieve the purpose(s). All persons with access to the data are bound by a written and signed confidentiality obligation.
The solution requires all its subcontractors who process or are likely to process personal data on its behalf to comply with the regulations in force and to guarantee its obligations towards its audiences and the authorities.
